About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Sales Manager to join our team in Seaforth, ON, on a full-time basis. A hybrid work schedule may be available, and occasional international travel (USA/Europe) will be required. 

The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of introducing an exciting new product to the marketplace, as well as continuing our strategy to expand our market presence.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and conveying the technical attributes across all machine models
  • Developing the program and materials to effectively launch a new product line
  • Representing the company for the sale of machinery to our dealer network
  • Managing and expanding existing dealer network
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing sales administration programs
  • Analyzing markets and developing sales and marketing strategies
  • Assessing customer needs and recommending the appropriate solutions
  • Maintaining current knowledge of product features and benefits available for sale
  • Supporting dealers/sales staff with timely and accurate information
  • Troubleshooting product issues and assisting with determining required parts
  • Acting as point person for all trade show activities and attending trade shows as required
  • Assisting with administering company warranty policy
  • Developing sales training material and conducting sales training sessions
  • Informing management on industry trends and product development issues
  • Posting, interacting, and communicating within various social media platforms

More About You

In order to qualify for this position, you will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a technical/mechanical background and experience working with various dealers and stakeholders. 

The following qualifications or skills would be strong assets for this position: 

  • Experience with bringing a new product to the marketplace
  • A degree or diploma in business or relative field experience 
  • Proficient in MS Office and Publisher 
  • Experience working with dealers and managing a dealer network
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry 
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, or mechanical systems as they relate to mowing equipment 
  • Experience attending and working at trade shows

You are self-directed, with proven sales ability and excellent relationship-building and expectation-managing skills when interacting with a variety of stakeholders. You'll join us with a natural aptitude for excellent customer service and a general curiosity to learn new things and continuously develop your knowledge. Your technical knowledge, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with your ability to take initiative will ensure your success in this role.
